You can earn gas rewards at Chevron when you download the new Chevron app. Download the free app, and link your Techron Advantage Credit card, PayPal, Venmo, or your own personal credit card. Earn 1 point for every dollar you spend, with 5 points for every dollar you spend at the pump. Points can be redeemed for gift cards, merchandise, hotels, and other deals. While there isn’t a set redemption rewards rate, a point’s value is about 1-cent to 1 1/2 cents per point. While redemption rewards are not as straightforward as other programs, earning 5x points on fuel makes it an extremely generous reward.
- Bank of America Visa also offers generous bonus rewards for gas purchases. You can earn 3% cash back for the category of your choice (like gas, online shopping, dining, travel, home improvement, and other options), 2% back on grocery store purchases and wholesale clubs like Sam’s Club, and 1% cash back on all other purchases.
- Sam’s Club offers such great savings on gasoline that some people join this popular warehouse club just for the gas discounts. Unlike the other gas credit cards we’ve mentioned, it’s not a credit card. It’s a member discount you get with your card.
